As a Software Engineer lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Software Engineer Lead you will be responsible for the following: Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions supporting APIs, Data sharing , Webhooks, and customer-facing API integrations. Own end-to-end software delivery including architecture, coding, unit testing, functional testing, deployment, and post-production support. Drive application security, data protection, vulnerability remediation, compliance, and secure API development practices. Design and implement scalable, resilient, and highly available microservices and cloud-native solutions to support critical banking services. Lead technical execution for strategic initiatives including vendor integrations, Webhooks, SOR migrations, mobile deep-linking, customer event notifications, and API enhancements. Act as the primary technical owner for multiple services, APIs, and supporting environments, maintaining Postman collections, integration artifacts, and operational runbooks. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams through knowledge transfer sessions, design reviews, code reviews, and engineering guidance Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and platform teams to evaluate and implement performance, caching, and operational improvements. Lead production deployments, release-night support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and remediation of critical production incidents. Drive operational excellence by improving observability, monitoring, reliability, capacity planning, and service performance. Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and external stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required. Facilitates complex problem resolution. Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software. Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
