A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include: MBBS/MD/ DM/ BDS/ MDS Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education and experience. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Demonstrating extensive knowledge of all clinical and scientific data for Medtronic products and maintaining a deep understanding of the science behind them. Developing competitive intelligence in the product space. Driving education and outreach for safe and effective use of products. Developing, implementing, and overseeing integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans for relevant Medtronic organizations. Providing advanced subject matter expertise and medical input to various functions (General Management, Global Strategy & Portfolio Management, Business Development & Licensing, Research & Development, & Marketing) to facilitate decision-making and enable achievement of business objectives. Ensuring effective, objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channels. Building and nurturing deep, collegial relationships with key thought leaders, professional societies, and payers. Driving the adoption of tools and techniques for the safe and effective use of products. Communicating product-related information to investigators, institutions, and key stakeholders, including medical groups, government agencies, and health systems. Providing perspective to field activities associated with growing existing products and bringing new products to market. (MBBS/ MD, BDS /MDS Designation only) Licensed Practitioners may bridge communication between sales, marketing, and clinical teams. Conducting continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for graduate physicians, pharmacists, and scientists. Responding to unsolicited inquiries.
