About this role
You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs. As an Application Engineer, you will be designing, building, and implementing critical systems and agentic integrations with Salesforce. In this role, you will develop secure data exchange solutions between Google’s internal/third-party (1P/3P) platforms and Salesforce. You will also build agentic integrations on Google Enterprise for Government (GEfG) to enable complex business use cases. You will have strong technical foundation, the ability to work independently on complex projects, and a passion for building secure and scalable enterprise solutions. You will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, presenting a range of technical challenges of complex system integrations including AI/Agentic interoperability. Build and scale high-performance data pipelines and system integrations that seamlessly link Salesforce with Google's broader software ecosystem. Implement next-gen AI-driven integrations with Salesforce, ensuring all agentic workflows are highly secure, reliable, and privacy-compliant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security Engineering, Privacy, and business system owners, to help translate business requirements into technical solutions. Manage assigned tasks and priorities effectively, contributing to project goals and milestones with regular guidance and supervision. Identify and escalate technical challenges encountered during development and testing, and contribute to finding and implementing solutions.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in designing and integration of internal and third-party applications. Experience programming in Java, Python, or C++. Experience in driving engineering and architecture strategies. Experience with cloud platform. Preferred qualifications: Experience designing and building data integrations across enterprise systems. Experience in one or more AI/ML and agentic technologies/stacks. Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested code and systems. Excellent customer empathy, attention to detail, with a drive to build the best solutions possible Excellent investigative, communication and team-work skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
