THE ROLE

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Lead SoC Validation Architect to join our growing Systems Design Engineering team. In this highly visible role, you will help drive the quality, reliability, and performance of AMD's next-generation products by advancing validation methodologies, debug capabilities, and automation solutions across the silicon lifecycle. As a technical leader, you will partner with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve complex system-level challenges, improve validation efficiency, and accelerate product readiness. Our team fosters technical innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning while enabling engineers to make a significant impact on industry-leading technologies.     THE PERSON:     You are a systems-minded engineer with deep expertise in validation, debug, and software-driven engineering solutions. You thrive in complex technical environments, enjoy solving challenging platform issues, and have a proven ability to influence technical direction across multidisciplinary teams. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on validation experience, and the ability to drive scalable automation and debug strategies from concept through production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities a cross validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives   Debugging issues found during the process , bring - up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs   Working with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time   Working closely with supporting technical teams   Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks   Leading collaborative approach with multiple teams       PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:     P rogramming/scripting skills ( e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python) .   D ebug techniques and methodologies       Extensive e xperience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.    Extensive e xperience with board/platform-level debug , including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization   Extensive k nowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strateg y   St rong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details   Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion       ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:     Bachelors or M asters degree in electrical or computer engineering     LOCATION: Austin, TX   This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.   #LI-SL2 #LI-HYBRID Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance .   AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
