Hardware Development Engineer, Asia Development Center(ADC)

Amazon LEO is on a mission to bridge the digital divide — launching a constellation of 3,236 Low Earth Orbit satellites to deliver fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide. Our Customer Terminal (CT) products are the physical gateway connecting millions of people to this network — compact, powerful phased-array antenna systems designed to perform flawlessly in the harshest outdoor environments on Earth. As a Hardware Development Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for supporting product development functions across design, validation and manufacturing. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment and want to invent the future. In this role, you will wear many hats working on system design down to quick turn prototypes, manufacturing production processes, design validation and debug. You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level and drive the quality bar to ensure the products we ship are bug free. To be successful you need to be highly motivated, understand how to solve problems and dive deep while delivering to the highest standards. You will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of product electrical design with expertise in systems integration, the desire to learn from new challenges, and the problem-solving and communication skills to work within a highly interactive and experienced team. Key job responsibilities o Lead multiple electrical design and validation on multiple products across Amazon LEO device portfolio o Research test/validation technologies and methodologies across factory and lab environment o Develop and execute detailed electrical validation test plans to ensure functional and parametric conformance o Drive debug and root cause of hardware design issues, qualifying trade-offs and user impact o Serve as the in-region technical liaison between US-based design teams and Asia-based manufacturing partners o Provide on-site electrical engineering support at manufacturing facilities in Asia o Drive hardware bring-up, debug, and failure analysis at manufacturing sites o Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and manufacturing process optimization o Own and resolve electrical design issues across xVT phases, while driving validation status reporting across mile-stone gates o Leverage AI tools and/or write scripts where feasible to automate for efficiency o Support positive team interactions to accomplish program objectives
