Ally and Your Career
Ally Financial only succeeds when its people do - and that’s more than some cliché people put on job postings. We live this stuff! We see our people as, well, people - with interests, families, friends, dreams, and causes that are all important to them. Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work-life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too? Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.
The Opportunity
The Marketing Manager-Lead of AI & Strategic Marketing Partnerships will lead relationship development, partner strategy, and go-to-market enablement across AI and LLM vendors, strategic distribution partners, and embedded finance opportunities. This role is responsible for identifying, structuring, and managing high-value partnerships that expand reach, create mutual business value, and support measurable marketing and business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven strategist who can work across external partners and internal stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, shape partnership models, coordinate activation plans, and ensure strong governance, performance tracking, and executive visibility. Candidate must be able to work well with a variety of business partners and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
The Work Itself
AI and LLM Vendor Partnerships Identify, develop, and manage relationships with AI vendors and LLM providers, including OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, Perplexity, and other relevant platforms. Own the full partnership lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, relationship strategy, deal structuring support, activation planning, ongoing partner management, and performance measurement. Translate partner capabilities, commercial models, and platform opportunities into practical marketing and business recommendations for internal stakeholders. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Procurement, Technology, Product, and Marketing to structure external partnerships around mutual value, regulatory fit, and measurable outcomes. Maintain clear partner plans, success metrics, executive updates, and operating routines that keep partnership work aligned to enterprise priorities. Strategic Distribution and Embedded Finance Partnerships Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities that expand distribution, strengthen customer engagement, and support acquisition, engagement, retention, and brand objectives. Lead exploration of embedded finance opportunities with fintech, digital platforms, marketplaces, and other ecosystem partners where Ally products, experiences, or offers can be integrated into relevant customer journeys. Develop partnership opportunity assessments that define target audiences, strategic rationale, partner value exchange, commercial considerations, operational requirements, and expected business impact.
