QA Engineer

Job Purpose We seek a passionate QA engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate must be well versed in Quality Assurance concepts, practices and tools, and will rely on his/ her extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Candidates must be capable of reviewing software applications objectively, work with Business Analysts and End-Users to understand requirements, and Developers to understand the impact of changes to assist debugging and enhancing Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) applications.

Implementation of test plans, test infrastructure, test automation and project plans Project management - May lead or direct the work of others, changing priorities as needed Responsible for keeping products in line as far as quality, functionality and usability Directs quality assurance functions covering the full software life cycle Works with product development team, technology team and customers to identify and assure quality of product Conducts system and integration test and validation activities Serves as Second Level Support for product line Training Support and Operational teams   Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information technology or related experience 3+ years Quality Assurance and software testing Very strong UNIX command-line tool experience (5+ years’ experience in a UNIX environment). Awk, sed, grep, etc Demonstrable working knowledge of Python and bash scripting Experience implementing software quality processes and procedures Experience with test automation and orchestration Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Multicast Strong problem solving and analysis skills needed Candidates must be self-directed Good oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Programming experience with C/C++, Java Market Data knowledge is a plus
