Reporting to the Maintenance Logistics Manager (based in Germany), the incumbent is responsible for maintaining aeronautical parts and tooling, supporting the Operation at London Heathrow, and supporting the Air Canada network across Europe and the greater network.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform daily auditing, shipping, receiving, inspection, issuing, order processing, unserviceable processing and stocking of inventory and update the internal ERP system accordingly</li><li>Preparation and shipping of part orders to outlying bases</li><li>Coordinate delivery of AOG’s (Aircraft on Ground), including customs clearance of AOG parts after hours when needed</li><li>Action reports i.e., Time expired material, issued out parts/tooling & wheel rotation</li><li>Understanding of customs regulations and prepare shipping documentation</li><li>Handle and ship dangerous goods traveling by air</li><li>Monitor and maintaining inventory to right levels and consult with Supply Chain in Canada for any requirements</li><li>Have a good awareness of dangerous goods and hold a DG shipper’s qualification, in Compliance with the current IATA DGR, Canadian Transportation of goods Act and other relevant governing bodies</li><li>Classify, Identity, Package, Mark, Label, and document Dangerous Goods (upon successful completion of the Air Canada exam for "Dangerous Goods for Shippers")</li><li>Ensure Air Canada corporate guidelines and policies are always adhered to while working in a safe manner</li><li>Heavy lifting needed</li><li>Be initiative-taking while managing workload and priorities</li><li>Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained as per health & safety guidelines</li><li>Monitor temperature & humidity of storage areas</li><li>Collect/deliver aircraft parts to from Cargo or from other brokers – On or off airport property</li><li>Other related duties as assigned</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must have a valid full (manual) UK driver's license</li><li>Forklift license an asset</li><li>Must have High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must have a minimum of 2 years warehouse experience</li><li>Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom unrestricted</li><li>Training and/or experience in inventory management and purchasing an asset</li><li>Ability to travel unrestricted within the UK or abroad to support AOG activities</li><li>Knowledge of aircraft parts preferred and knowledge of common hardware essential</li><li>Basic computer and data entry skills needed</li><li>Must have effective communication skills and the ability to interact with other departments, employees, and supervisors</li><li>Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and work to deadlines with minimal supervision</li><li>Must be a collaborator and represent Air Canada in a professional manner</li><li>Wear company uniform as prescribed and conform to company grooming standards</li><li>Required to wear PPE in designated high-risk areas</li><li>Work shift work with an emphasis on flexibility to fit operational requirements, including AOG coverage when needed</li><li>English language is required, French is an asset</li></ul>Conditions of Employment:Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment.
