Job Description
A Demand Analyst is responsible for forecasting customer demand using advanced analytics, AI-driven tools, and cross-functional collaboration. The role ensures supply chain efficiency, inventory optimization, and alignment between sales, marketing, and operations. Your daily tasks: Analyze historical and future demand data, integrating inputs from Product Management, Sales, and Customers to develop accurate item-level MRP forecasts. Conduct regular reviews of item-level forecasts at the PLC level, considering product, location, and customer factors. Perform daily forecast adjustments for Make-to-Stock (MTS) products to reflect the latest demand signals. Utilize C2S Sales Forecast Tool to incorporate sales opportunities and forecast data into the demand planning process. Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to develop Long-Term Planning (LTP) forecasts at the GPL and PLC levels, supporting capacity planning, operational decisions, investments, lead time reduction, and stock building. Participate in Pipeline / Product review calls to review demand and align forecasting assumptions. Lead and contribute to demand review sessions with Sales and Product Management teams. Connect with critical customers to capture and align on forecast. Make Integrated Business Planning (IBP) adjustments at the PLC level based on updated forecasts and operational inputs. Provide actionable insights to improve forecast accuracy and bias. Engage in SIOP consensus meetings to align demand, supply, and operations. Maintain master data such as MRP group and safety stock. Participate in any improvement project (regional and/or global). Your ideal background: Experience in demand planning and forecasting, including MRP and long-term forecasting (LTP) in manufacturing or supply chain settings. Proficiency with forecasting tools (IBP), ERP/MRP systems (SAP), and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical skills to interpret historical data and market trends for accurate forecast adjustments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Product Management, Sales, Customers, and cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills to manage daily and monthly forecast reviews, pipeline calls, root cause analysis, and support capacity planning decisions. Critical thinking & problem-solving.
