The business portfolio offers a broad range of product offerings covering enterprise data management, investment management, loans platforms, regulatory and compliance solutions, and private markets solutions. The Enterprise Solutions Technology function is accountable for delivering technology solutions for the Enterprise Solutions products, in partnership with the product, commercial and wider divisional functions. The Enterprise Solutions Technology function comprises of the Business Segment / Product aligned delivery functions, Architecture & Design, Technology & Infrastructure Services, Engineering Enablement Services & Industrialization, Data Science & Data Engineering and Project Management Office.

Summary We are seeking a strategic and experienced Software Development Architect experience is robust, scalable, and secure enterprise software applications for the capital markets domain, with a strong emphasis on SaaS-based solutions and microservice architectures. This leadership role combines deep expertise in software application architect with capabilities in AI/ML to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions that drive automation, intelligence, and compliance in critical financial workflows. Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation. Define the technical roadmap for SaaS-based enterprise software applications. Collaborative R&D and rapid prototyping within the semantic space, working closely with Knowledge Engineering. Architecting shared capabilities, in a shift-left environment enabling federated consumption across divisions and business units of S&P Global. Ensuring systems are secure, compliant, auditable, and observable in-alignment with Enterprise standards. Drive the adoption of microservice-based architectures to ensure modularity, scalability, and maintainability of SaaS applications. Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Client teams to align technical solutions with business and client needs. Ensure applications and AI systems are secure, compliant, and traceable, adhering to regulatory standards in the capital markets domain.

Education Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

15+ years in software Architect, with minimum 5 years in leadership roles focused on application Architect. Experienced in solution architecture and have designed software solutions of significant size. Extensive experience in SaaS application development, focusing on scalability, multi-tenancy, and performance. Experience with ontology development, semantic web technologies (RDF, RDFS, OWL, SPARQL), and open-source or commercial semantic tools (e.g., VocBench, TopQuadrant, PoolParty, RDFLib, triple stores). Candidates with domain experience in private markets or public markets will be preferred. Technical Skills Expertise in C#, React, Angular, SQL, and the broader Microsoft technology stack for building robust, scalable back-end systems and developing dynamic, responsive front-end interfaces.
