Job Description:  L3Harris is seeking a talented Senior Specialist Manufacturing Engineer to support the manufacturing of Space Hardware and processes. The hardware produced at this location is complex, containing circuit card assemblies (CCAs), microelectronics assemblies, cable harnesses, and higher-level system assemblies. The person filling this position will focus on manufacturing engineer support and development for manufacturing various space complex hardware and RF applications. In-depth familiarity with all aspects of circuit card assembly design and fabrication will be highly beneficial in this position.

• Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks on the production floor.

• Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing

• Develop and support new methods and processes to improve existing and new operations

• Monitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Support and lead teams to resolve the manufacturing production yield, quality, and reliability issues.

• Monitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.

• Provide advanced technical support to solve problems through process improvements related to manufacturing products.

• Interface with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility, developing build strategies.

• Design and develop manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.

• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

• Read and understand Assembly Drawings.

• Work interactively and effectively in a team environment.

• Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations.

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance upon hire.
