Enforces strict SolidWorks modelling methodologies and parametric design standards to ensure CAD models are robust, scalable, and easily editable by the entire team. Manages end-to-end project delivery by optimizing resource allocation, scheduling, and engineering quality metrics. Owns and optimizes the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes, ensuring all design modifications are thoroughly vetted, documented, and communicated to assembly. Establishes continuous feedback loops between the design and assembly teams to improve standardization and Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Monitors and minimizes project lead times, design queues, and error rates from initial kickoff through to final product shipment. Drives value engineering initiatives to eliminate waste, control material costs, standardize components, and maximize product margins. Coaches team members through daily technical roadblocks, fostering an environment of collaborative problem-solving. Implements standardized design practices and process workflows to increase the speed and accuracy of the engineering department.
