Barista Job Description The Canteen, located inside The WildBirch Hotel, brings Alaska adventure to early morning adventures and afternoon pick-me-ups. We are looking for experienced baristas to join our team providing service for all our guests.

Barista Reports to:  Store Manager Summary Prepares and serves coffee, tea, and specialty beverages while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment within the hotel  Key Responsibilities     •     Prepare beverages (espresso drinks, drip coffee, tea, blended drinks) according to recipe standards     •     Take customer orders accurately via register or POS system     •     Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment     •     Handle cash and card transactions, process payments correctly     •     Maintain cleanliness of workstation, dining area, and equipment     •     Restock supplies (cups, lids, syrups, milk, beans) as needed     •     Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines     •     Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service; answer menu questions     •     Handle customer complaints or escalate to supervisor when needed Requirements     •     Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-30 lbs     •     Availability for early mornings, weekends, and/or evenings     •     Strong communication and multitasking skills     •     Basic math skills for handling transactions     •     Prior food service/barista experience preferred, not always required     •     Food handler’s certification (if required by local law) Preferred Qualifications     •     Customer service experience     •     Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage recipes     •     Ability to work in a team environment Want me to turn this into a formatted Word doc for posting, or add pay range/benefits details?
