Position
Responsibilities: · Lead complex group work sessions utilizing advanced Lean principles, processes, and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal and external customers. · Conduct comprehensive assessments of manufacturing processes and practices, benchmarking against applicable standards and criteria. · Analyze and interpret complex production data to identify systemic issues with high impact, and develop innovative, actionable implementation plans. · Create queries to pull and analyze data (e.g. experience with ODBC, SQL, Excel macros). · Collaborate with cross-functional organizations to develop and execute strategies, plans, and metrics that align with and achieve business objectives. · Provide advanced technical expertise and leadership on manufacturing projects that significantly improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. · Lead or Facilitate work teams, provide necessary training, and lead problem resolution and process improvement initiatives. · Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, milestones, and status reports to stakeholders. · Apply advanced process management and process improvement techniques to resolve complex production concerns. · Use strong problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills to develop innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges. · Serve as a subject matter expert and liaison to management and external stakeholders on major matters related to manufacturing policies, plans, and objectives. · Work with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. · Ensure solutions and recommendations are consistent with organizational goals and have long-lasting impact on the business. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim pre-start and final post-start clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience): · 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master’s degree + 8 years, 14 years related experience, etc.). · 3+ years of experience applying strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. · 1+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). · 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience): · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced education. · Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, and reporting. · Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at multiple organizational levels. · Active Secret Security Clearance.
