Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe position of Quality Engineer requires the ability to work and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process. The QE requires input from the bid review/order entry process, supplier oversight, production planning, parts procurement, manufacturing and test, final acceptance, software analysis, and corrective action analysis, and customer support. \n \nResponsibilities: \n\u2022 Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality \nstandards and systems for processing materials into product. \n\u2022 Develop and initiate methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation. \n\u2022 Interface with suppliers and external customers to resolve product issues. \n\u2022 Devise procedures, forms, methods for recording and evaluating quality data. \n\u2022 Develop and implement methods and procedures to disposition and assess cost \nof discrepant material. \n\u2022 Provide quality technical assistance to internal and external customers and suppliers. \n\u2022 Work with employees engaged in measuring and testing product and recording quality and reliability data. \n\u2022 Compile and generate training material and conduct training sessions on quality activities. \n\u2022 Conduct Supplier control activities including purchase order review, resolution of non-conforming products from suppliers, and review of corrective action responses from suppliers. \n\u2022 Perform Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including scrap material processing. \n\u2022 Coordinate and manage continuous improvement activities related to Quality including 8D\u2019s, Kaizen events, BPI\u2019s, Six Sigma projects, and other problem-solving activities. \n\u2022 Participate in internal and external control and review activities such as internal audits \u0026 product audits including customer reviews. \n\u2022 Additional duties as assigned.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired Competencies:\n\n * Ability to understand technical data\n * Knowledge of measurement systems\n * Understanding of statistics and root cause analysis\n\n\n\nBasic Qualification (Required):\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution.\n * Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical role.\n * Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Candidates that currently reside or are willing to relocate within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Olean, NY will be considered.
