Job Description and Requirements
We Are Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You Are You have spent years in the semiconductor ecosystem and you understand that foundry relationships are not about quarterly check-ins, they are about knowing who to call when a node slips, a PDK changes, or a customer needs an answer by Thursday. You speak the language of process technology fluently enough to explain why 3nm differs between foundries and why that matters for an automotive customer versus an HPC design. Relationships are your currency. You have built trust with foundry business development teams because you show up prepared, you follow through, and you make their lives easier by connecting the right people at the right time. You are comfortable sitting across the table from a foundry VP one day and walking an internal product team through node strategy the next. You do not just collect information, you synthesize it into something actionable, a roadmap update that changes a product decision, a packaging trend that shifts a test chip plan. You are organized enough to manage dashboards, roadmaps, and presentation decks for multiple foundries while staying strategic enough to see the bigger picture. At Synopsys, you will be the connective tissue between our IP teams, our customers, and the foundries that make it all real. What You'll Be Doing Serve as the primary contact between Synopsys sales, product teams, and foundry partners for IP product availability, node roadmaps, and process updates Build and maintain deep relationships with foundry business development teams at TSMC, Samsung, Intel Foundry, and others to ensure rapid access to information and coordinated customer meetings Collect, assess, and distribute foundry roadmaps, process changes, and PDK updates to internal stakeholders, translating technical shifts into product and schedule implications Maintain a live dashboard of foundry information, Synopsys IP roadmaps by node, and foundry-specific presentation materials used across sales and product teams Coordinate test chip positioning and tape-out schedules with foundries, aligning IP roadmaps with customer demand and foundry capacity Evaluate foundry strategies, key market segments, and top customer priorities to guide Synopsys IP positioning and investment decisions Present at foundry seminars and customer meetings, representing Synopsys IP and articulating node positioning for HPC, AI, IoT, automotive, and consumer applications The Impact You Will Have Enable faster, better-informed product decisions by ensuring Synopsys teams have current foundry roadmaps and process intelligence Accelerate customer engagements by coordinating foundry introductions and aligning IP availability with customer timelines Reduce risk in IP roadmap planning by surfacing foundry changes early enough to adjust schedules and avoid costly surprises Strengthen Synopsys positioning with foundries by providing market feedback, customer demand signals, and application trend data Improve internal alignment across product management, R&D, and sales by maintaining a single source of truth for foundry strategy and IP availability Influence foundry
