This hands-on position requires meticulous execution of laboratory procedures while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You'll work collaboratively with research teams to ensure seamless daily operations of sophisticated analytical equipment and laboratory systems, directly contributing to JLL's commitment to operational excellence in laboratory facilities management. Your precision and attention to detail will help maintain the research environment that drives innovation for our clients in the life sciences sector. What your day-to-day will look like: Execute laboratory procedures following both written protocols and verbal instructions with strict attention to safety and quality standards. Operate and perform routine maintenance on advanced laboratory equipment including HPLC, LCMS, TECAN EVO liquid handlers, Bodhan automated weighers, centrifugal evaporators, analytical balances, pH meters, and glove boxes. Prepare laboratory materials including media, mobile phases, reagent tubes, and analytical samples for HPLC and LCMS analysis. Maintain facilities and equipment by performing minor adjustments, filling solvent vessels, emptying cold traps, and ensuring optimal instrument functionality. Process samples through complete workflows including plate preparation, reaction setup, fraction collection, sample drying, weighing, dilution, and final storage in controlled atmospheres. Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining accurate documentation and timely completion of all assigned activities. Collaborate effectively with research staff and laboratory team members to achieve departmental goals and support ongoing research initiatives.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with demonstrated laboratory experience or Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field. Proven experience operating analytical laboratory equipment such as HPLC, LCMS, liquid handlers, or similar instrumentation. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and experience working in regulated laboratory environments. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed written procedures and execute tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laboratory regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively in team-based laboratory settings.

Preferred Qualifications

One to two years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or analytical laboratory settings. Familiarity with sample preparation techniques including weighing, dilution, filtration, and controlled atmosphere handling. Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or electronic laboratory notebooks. Basic understanding of chromatography principles and mass spectrometry techniques.
