The Symitar Client Services Engineering team is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to troubleshoot and program both template-based and custom credit union code. You will maintain and update existing code, write new code for enhancements and fixes, and provide support to credit union clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential. This is a remote position; however, candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of one of the following office locations: Allen, TX; Cedar Falls, IA; Louisville, KY; Birmingham, AL; Charlotte, NC; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; or Lenexa, KS. This position is ineligible for immigration sponsorship and support. The salary range for this position is $66,500–$80,000 and will be determined based on location and level of experience. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity. What you’ll be responsible for: Provide technical support to customers by analyzing reported issues and determining the best path to resolution. Work directly with customers and users on highly technical products, including systems-level software used by technical audiences. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues effectively. Report design concerns, reliability issues, and software bugs to engineering. Create defect records with supporting files and examples to help development teams build code fixes, including preparing test environments when needed. Stay current on company products through training, documentation, online learning, and observation of experienced support team members. Complete Customer Work Requests (CWRs), which may include installations, customizations, upgrades, and training. Train current team members and new associates as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll need to have: At least 2 years of hands-on programming experience. Experience building and supporting solutions with HTML and JavaScript. Experience providing client-facing technical support for web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, web services, APIs, and network connectivity. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
