We are seeking an experienced professional to support our workforce expansion in India. About the role - Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-based systems and services that prioritize scalability, reliability, performance, and security. - Design, automate, and improve infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve moderately complex production incidents across services and environments, driving short- and long-term corrective actions. - Collaborate with software engineering, security, and product teams to design system architectures, define operational requirements, and ensure smooth integrations. - Develop and enhance observability, logging, and alerting capabilities to improve system visibility, incident response, and service-level adherence. - Implement and refine operational runbooks, standards, and best practices that enhance reliability, reduce toil, and support consistent system operations. - Participate in an on-call rotation and post-incident reviews, contributing to continuous improvement of system resilience and operational processes. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Who you are - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a closely related systems programming role supporting production environments. - Experience designing, deploying, and operating services on a major cloud platform (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Experience with scripting or programming (for example, Python, Shell, Go, or Java) to automate systems tasks and workflows. - Experience working with containerization and orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD tools in a modern engineering environment. - Experience diagnosing and resolving production issues using observability tools (such as metrics, logs, and traces) and structured incident response.
