Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing for youth ages 7 to 17 at the time of admission with several psychiatric diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities. Located in Portsmouth, VA, Harbor Point provides intensive, residential treatment to youth in a comfortable setting that is conducive to healing. Our facility specializes in treating children and adolescents with depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other mental health issues. We also have specific treatment programs for those with intellectual disabilities or those with self-injurious behavior. Harbor Point and its programs are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. Summary: Completes and performs upfront collection functions on all new admissions; provides financial counseling to guardians. Contacts insurance companies, third party payors or funding sources to verify benefits and eligibility. Job Duties: Completes daily business office functions to ensure timely month end billing. Reviews invoices, claim forms and account balances to assist in the preparation of monthly billing. Provides support/assistance to Business Office Director to enhance administrative effectiveness of operations. Minimum High School Diploma, two - four year degree preferred. Three or more year's healthcare collections/follow-up experience with third party payers. A strong client service background is mandatory. Have a proven record in conracting management. Must be computer literate with above average skills in Word, Excell, and Databases.
