Team Introduction The Settlement Quality Control team focuses on settlement data accuracy and operation efficiency by building various standardized SOPs, infrastructure capabilities, monitoring mechanisms and collection management frameworks.
This role owns regulatory research, permitting, licensing, and ongoing facility compliance required to launch and operate sorting centers and fulfillment centers across multiple US jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities Permit and License Management - Lead the end-to-end application process for all permits, licenses, and authorizations required to operate sorting centers and fulfillment centers across multiple US states, including New Jersey, California, and additional states as the business expands. Ensure all required approvals are obtained before each facility's planned launch date. - Manage requirements including, but not limited to, zoning and land-use permits, building permits, certificates of occupancy, business operation licenses, environmental permits, fire-safety approvals, signage permits, and other jurisdiction-specific authorizations applicable to logistics or warehousing facilities.
Regulatory Research and Compliance - Stay informed of federal, state, municipal, and jurisdiction-specific regulations affecting logistics and warehouse operations in areas where the company currently operates or plans to operate. - Proactively identify permit and licensing requirements for upcoming facilities and develop a compliance timeline for each project.
Cross-Functional Coordination - Partner closely with facility development, construction, real estate, and operations teams to ensure permit applications are submitted on schedule and aligned with construction milestones and facility launch plans. - Coordinate with external consultants, attorneys, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders as needed to support timely reviews and approvals.
Project and Document Management - Maintain a centralized tracking system for all applications in progress and planned applications, including submission status, approval milestones, renewal dates, dependencies, and responsible parties. - Prepare and submit required applications, filings, reports, and renewals to support continued compliance at operating facilities.
Scaling and Process Development - Develop standardized playbooks, workflows, templates, and checklists for permit and licensing processes by state and jurisdiction to support efficient replication as the facility network expands.
