Job Description
An opportunity for a Flight Physics PMTD Leader has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space , Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Technology & Capability team within the Integration and Strategy domain (TADGI), which is a German-Spanish engineering organization in Airbus Defence and Space – Air Power Engineering. The organization is responsible for the flight physics deliverables for all Air Power programmes and digitalization & technology. As Flight Physics PMTD Leader , you will apply your knowledge and experience in process, methods and tool development (PMTD) to push Flight Physics capabilities to make the program a success. This would be done ensuring the next level of digitalization and advanced technologies and capabilities for the program. With this, you will contribute to increase efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of Flight Physics CoC established in the Flight Physics Technology and Digital strategies .
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Flight Physics Process, Methods, Tools and Data (PMTD) portfolio for an specific program. Special focus will need to be put on the CoC deliveries for the program are executed on time, cost and quality. Drive the Flight Physics PMT process convergence and execute it in the agreed terms to ensure PMTD gaps and needs are fully managed. Reflect on the ways of working and continuously improve as needed for the program success. Lead the PMTD Integrated Product Team (IPT) - Flight Physics to ensure Flight Physics activities and priorities are captured by TAXD. Drive the Digital transformation of Flight Physics by coordinating transverse initiatives that push Air Power competitiveness and especially for the program efficiency. A non-complete list includes Air Power Digital Chapter and Digital Strategies. Become the Flight Physics interface to TAX, Digital and TADX. Ensure process and document referential management aligning with internal and external flight physics stakeholders for the program. Development of integrated solutions to support the end-to-end processes digitalization and digital transformation of Air Power - Engineering with special focus on the program. Develop, prove, validate and deploy disruptive ways of solving problems in flight physics with a holistic approach that can grow the competitiveness of the program. Challenge the status quo.

Education
University degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent.
Experience
At least 3 years professional experience in programming & data science in development and engineering areas. Specifically: Experience on Flight Physics and Overall Aircraft development process and engineering activities. Experience in managing projects in a complex and international environment. Soft skills: C ommunication and influencing skills to be an effective leader are required for this position. Especially important: Aligning and convincing both internal and external flight physics stakeholders. Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written and spoken). Additionally valued competences: PMP or other project management accreditation would be a plus. System Engineering and Model Based System Engineering would be a plus Experience on continuous improvement and relevant process management experience are a plus. Especially Green or Black belt certifications would be appreciated. Previous experience in Machine learning modeling for Engineering applications would be a plus. Previous experience in Python and C++ and state-of -the art data science and AI frameworks are a plus. Previous experience with front end and database development would be a plus Previous experience on CFD & FEM would be a plus.
