The Mission The Project Network Engineer will be responsible for researching, building, designing, diagraming end to end network solutions related to assigned projects. Duties include providing specifications for network architecture design, evaluate and perform assessments of current infrastructure to ensure solution meets customer requirements, conduct proof of concepts and/or recommend hardware/software purchases in support of new technologies on ways to improve the environment. Network Project Engineer primary responsibilities: Conduct Site Survey's when needed. Serve as the Lead Network Engineer on assigned projects. Develop detailed network designs and architectures that align with Department of Defense (DoD) standards. Work closely with system engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Stay updated on DoD policies and best practices related to network security and design. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, installations, and changes. Oversee the installation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, taclanes and firewalls. Design full scale network solutions to include but not limited to switches, routers, taclanes, F5 Load Balancers, IP Management, VPNs, DHCP, Firewalls etc. Utilize Visio to create, maintain and/or modify diagrams in support of assigned projects i.e., block, wiring, workflow, database, application diagrams etc. Ensure compliance with applicable network security protocols, including 802.1x, DOD STIGs, SRGs and other accreditation standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network infrastructure with broader IT and cybersecurity systems. Conduct thorough testing of network systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security compliance. Work closely with system engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, installations, and changes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation and testing phases. Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and source network hardware and software that meet project
