Position

Summary The Vice President will play a critical leadership role within Carlyle’s Global Private Equity (GPE) platform, supporting the growth and development of Carlyle Private Equity Partners ( CPEP )—a global evergreen private equity vehicle designed for retail and high-net-worth investors. This individual will also lead the origination and execution of buyout transactions across sectors, working closely with The Head of CPEP and senior Private Equity professionals in a lean, high-impact team environment. This role combines strategic fund-level oversight with active investment execution responsibiliti es, requiring exceptional analytical acumen, transaction experience, and leadership capability. Education & Certificates * Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field. * Advanced certifications such as an MBA, CFA, or CAIA are strongly preferred. Professional Experience * 6-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or related alternative investment fields. * Demonstrated experience executing complex private equity transactions and leading cross-function al deal teams. * Familiarity with evergreen vehicles or long-duration capital strategies is a strong plus. Competencies & Attributes * Deep technical expertise in financial modeling, valuation analysis, capital structuring, and performance tracking. * Strategic thinker with a sophisticated understanding of private equity fund mechanics and portfolio construction. * Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate investment theses and strategic recommendation s to senior stakeholders. * High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Preqin, Capital IQ, FactSet); experience with SQL, Python, or VBA is a plus. * Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent workstreams and deliver under tight deadlines. * Entrepreneuria l, s elf-motivated, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-oriente d environment. * Proven team leader and mentor; able to develop junior talent and foster a high-performan ce culture. Benefits/Compe nsation The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/prefe rred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or c ertifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $250,000. In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs.
