Location/Division Specific Information Scoresby Head Office About the Role: Join our collaborative team as an Industrial Calibration Engineer in our NATA calibration laboratory. You will be responsible for calibration and repair of Industrial and other equipment in support of the ANZ customer base inclusive of all markets and products served with a primary focus on pressure, electrical and temperature calibrators. Working in our calibration lab, you'll partner with teams to deliver excellent customer service while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This position includes depot-based calibration work and opportunities for on-site customer support, combining technical expertise with customer interaction.
What You'll Do
Calibrate, maintain and repair instruments in a professional and reliable manner Perform all work according to company Quality Management System requirements, policies and NATA accreditation. Work under supervision of a NATA signatory (and other technical management where required) Meet minimum service turnaround for all customers Achieve service revenue budget Identify opportunities and provide technical assistance to support sales team sales and margin (gross) targets, growth and performance objectives Highly responsive and proactive in addressing customers’ needs Develop trusted customer relationships by providing resolutions for technical issues and service solutions Be responsible for fostering partnership with the business Group’s customers by providing them with advice and technical support that will help them gain the most from the products that we sell them Keys to Success:
Education
Formal tertiary qualifications or Bachelor’s degree with science or engineering major, or equivalent experience plus strong technical/scientific competence.
Experience
Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory or other quality regulated environment is desirable. Minimal 2 years' experience in a technical support role Experience with scripting or programming is advantageous Exposure to automated calibration systems or test software (e.g. MET/CAL, EIII, NI MAX or similar) is advantageous Knowledge, Skills, Abilities A dedication and commitment towards displaying a professional and positive attitude. Knowledge of equipment within the portfolio and experience in the use of, calibration and repairs of electrical, pressure and / or temperature calibrators. An initiative taker who can work autonomously, and has an enthusiastic, energetic and positive attitude while being a supportive team player Strong problem-solving skills Build and maintain meaningful and beneficial partnerships with our customers, suppliers and peers Ability to work professionally and harmoniously with a wide range of people Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise, manage time effectively and meet agreed deadlines Physical Requirements / Work Environment Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
