The opportunity As our Senior Manager – Financial Reporting Specialist Lead with sound leadership experience in professional services or industry experience, you will become an integrated part of our Accounting Compliance and Reporting team. The quality of the work we do has attracted increased demand for our services and our team is growing quickly. This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options. Your key responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee statutory reporting services for corporate clients, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring delivery of comprehensive financial reporting services with support from the leadership and technical accounting specialists. Lead complex statutory reporting engagements, providing senior oversight, supervising team members, and acting as a Counsellor for up to three team members to support their career development. Build internal and external networks to stay informed on industry issues, have a strong focus on growing the statutory reporting business, client base and service offering, foster a positive team culture that promotes high performance and collaboration, and celebrate team successes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Detailed knowledge and experience with Australian Accounting Standards gained through working in a professional services firm or in a comparable industry role. CA qualification or equivalent completed. Technical knowledge of IFRS is essential, and knowledge of another CAAP (e.g. US GAAP) is an advantage (but not essential).

Demonstrate a flair for identifying risk, driving continuous improvements and automation, while maintaining a high level of accuracy with strong prioritization and organizational skills. Exhibit a proactive approach and the ability to work under pressure, adhering to reporting deadlines in a dynamic team environment. Possess strong communication skills, confidently leading discussions with clients on technical matters and coordinating engagements. Have experience managing remote teams both within Australia and overseas, with audit experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm as an advantage.
