O pportunity Summary: The Project Manager will facilitate the analysis, design, and implementation of action plans required to integrate new business opportunities and acquisitions. Responsible for project team facilitation and for the completion of projects on time and within budget. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock Facilitates management-identified project teams/meetings. Updates and tracks FY projects established by management. Communicates global specification changes to all facilities. Assists with the design of new carton and label structures. Facilities new project estimates. Works directly with WestRock engineers to develop tooling needed for projects and launches. Completes Project Management process analysis and improvement. Assists in securing new business by working with management and the potential customer/acquisition partner/new equipment supplier in executing required activities within the contract. Updates WestRock personnel on new project/sample development. Occasional travel to customer/acquisition partner locations to support intercompany relations and execute various required activities. Works at customer site as needed. Makes project presentations to management as required Other duties as assigned What you need to succeed: High School or GED is required; must have Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ related Project Management. Must have PMP certification. Ability to read and write complex instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to respond to customer inquiries, complaints, regulatory agencies and members of the business community. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Comfortable with effectively presenting information to top management and public groups. Must have good mathematical skills. Must be competent in Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and other Microsoft products. Able to travel up to 10%. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
