About this role

Overview

Microsoft AI is reimagining how billions of people discover, understand, and act on content. Our Content Product Experiences team builds experiences across MSN, the Edge new tab, Windows Start, and Copilot Discover, from personalized feeds to entirely new AI-native products. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to identify and build the next generation of content products and the reusable intelligence systems that power them. You will take new ideas from early exploration through product-market fit, beginning with personalized company and industry intelligence for enterprise information workers. You will bring together user understanding, knowledge, content agents, ranking, and interactive experiences to help people understand what changed, why it matters, and what to do next. This is a highly cross-functional role for a category builder who can see around corners, prototype quickly, and turn emerging AI capabilities into products people depend on. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.   Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

Translate capabilities across user understanding, knowledge graphs, content agents, ranking, quality, and interactive components into coherent, reusable product systems that can serve multiple Microsoft canvases. Lead rapid customer discovery, prototyping, and experimentation to find product-market fit, separate durable value from novelty, and earn the right to scale. Partner deeply with design, engineering, applied science, editorial, and canvas product teams to integrate new products into Edge, Windows, MSN, and Copilot without duplicating existing ownership. Establish clear success criteria, use evidence to decide what to advance, refine, or stop, and transition proven experiences to the teams best positioned to operate them at scale. Act as a force multiplier for the product organization by raising the bar for zero-to-one product thinking, mentoring PMs, and influencing senior leaders across organizational boundaries.
