Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an onsite role based at our Lincoln, IL manufacturing facility supporting our Residential & Wiring Devices products. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Learn more: Residential flex center | Eaton What you’ll do: Designs, plans and creates non-standard or modified equipment requested by internal or external customers while assisting the Flex Center Manager in coordinating the production requirements of all standard non-stock products manufactured in the Flex Center. Designs solutions to specific customer requirements for non-standard or modified products manufactured in the Lincoln plant. Responsible for creating/modifying/maintaining drawings for non-standard or modified products manufactured in the Flex Center. Sets up all bills of material for non-standard or modified products, manufactured in the Flex Center, on the Mapics system. Assists with or directs Flex Center assemblers with the assembly of non-standard, modified and non-stock products manufactured in the Flex Center. Create prototype products for customer review. Resolves issues and pursue acceptance on Flex products from third parties such UL or ISO. Performs tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of meeting the plant goal of 98% fill rate on non-stocked items manufactured in the Flex Center. Ensures customer service and quality. Develops bills of material and quotations of non-standard/modified products as well as non-stock items that are expedited. Coordinates specific shipping requirements requested by Flex Center customers. Adheres to all facility safety guidelines and identifies potential hazards to reduce or eliminate them. Understands, implements and adheres to EBS Tools and Practices. Qualifications: Basic (required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution Three years of mechanical design experience supporting manufacturing operations. Experience using 3D CAD modeling sotfware. Basic understanding of UL and NEC requirements. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited institution. Previous experience using the Mapics ERP system. Previous design experience utilizing AutoCad and Inventor.
