About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Crimes Officer to join the Training Administration team within Financial Crimes Risk Management. Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM), a centralized and independent risk management function, is seeking to add an experienced BSA/AML subject matter expert, who will be responsible for leading coordination of activities of the Training Administration team for financial crimes training. In this role, you will: Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, procedures and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring for Training Administration owned controls. Review business training awareness materials and supporting documentation to ensure consistency with financial crimes training and policies, including determining the appropriateness of the training awareness materials. Collaborate across business groups and enterprise functions (including FCRM) to conduct training needs analysis assessments. Partner with impacted businesses, handling any challenge feedback, and monitor remediation of recommendations. Interact with FCRM Policy Team, FCRM Leadership, Financial Crimes Legal, Audit and various testing & validation teams on risk management oversight topics, such as training content, completion rates and business processes and systems. Collaborate with business groups and enterprise functions to identify, or advise on, risk-based practices that address financial crimes policy requirements and appropriately mitigate financial crimes risks. Lead initiatives in a virtual environment and mentor less experienced staff. Provide financial crimes expertise with knowledge of regulations, laws, risk management, and business lines (products, services, customer types, etc.) to effectively perform training administration duties.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Fraud, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Corruption experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Project or program management, supervisory experience. Experience leading and creating Financial Crimes or Compliance training programs. Advanced level in developing partnerships across multiple lines of businesses, including key Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, Financial Crimes Risk Management, and other Compliance groups. Knowledge/understanding in developing training curriculum. Experience publishing, managing, and updating training and reference materials for Financial Crimes. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple responsibilities, tasks, and complex projects while meeting varying deliverable timelines. Experience with tracking and reporting Ability to work independently as well as be an engaged and contributing team member. Job Expectations: This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
