Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism Corporate and Business Strategy Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary A career within Tax and Legal Services (Corporate Services), will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients adopt a more strategic approach to global entity governance across their organisations. We help our clients and their legal entities with the incorporation of new companies, ongoing compliance with local legislation, and restructuring of their global businesses to manage governance and compliance risks. Our team specialises in providing corporate secretarial, corporate advisory and corporate governance support to our clients. You’ll help provide legal support in a wide array of specialty areas from corporate, commercial and banking to cyber security and technology. Our Tax and Legal Services (Corporate Services) practice is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our team at the manager level. An attorney called to the Bar in Barbados or other Commonwealth jurisdictions. A minimum of 4 years relevant post qualification experience. A specialist designation in corporate secretarial practice from Canada or the United Kingdom, would be an asset. Experience with corporate legislation, regulation, practice and procedure. Experience in the global financial services sector would be an asset. Strong legal analytical, research, drafting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience with due diligence and AML procedures and reviews would also be considered an asset. Adapts readily to new digital technologies and leverages technology solutions to enhance work processes and achieve business objectives. Roles and Responsibilities include: Executing Corporate Secretarial duties with respect to a portfolio of domestic, regional and international clients within the Barbados and wider Caribbean Corporate Services practice. Conducting legal research, analysis and providing corporate advisory support on a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters involving corporate legislation, practice and procedure. Reporting to regulatory authorities. Attending to incorporation, amalgamation, registration, licencing, continuation and dissolution proceedings. Producing shareholder, amalgamation and other corporate agreements and related documents. Proactively monitoring and advising on new, proposed and amended legislation, regulatory guidance and best practice relevant to the Corporate Services practice and its clients. Managing, mentoring and training more junior corporate services professionals. Supporting the partners in identifying and pursuing potential new business opportunities. Carrying out or supervising due diligence, quality and risk management procedures. Other details/requirements: Flexible as there are tight deadlines to be met on occasion and you will be required to work overtime to ensure that deadlines are met.
