What You Will Do * Lead material qualification activities, supplier transitions, and technical troubleshooting efforts for polymer composites and adhesive bonding systems within production environments. Develop, review, and approve material specifications, test methods, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance. Perform polymer and composite material characterization, analyze experimental data, and communicate technical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership teams. Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) studies to evaluate material behavior, validate hypotheses, optimize processes, and resolve complex engineering challenges. Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to identify, qualify, and implement new materials while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Develop comprehensive knowledge of composite manufacturing and adhesive bonding processes, including surface preparation, material application, curing processes, and inspection methodologies. Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality organizations, on material selection, performance capabilities, and limitations. Drive process optimization efforts related to materials, tooling, manufacturing methods, and production efficiency. Ensure all activities comply with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines. Foster a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and engineering excellence through collaboration and technical leadership. Maintain precise technical documentation, ensure data traceability, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications
You Must Have * B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines. Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in polymer materials, composites, adhesives, sealants, and coatings. Preferably in materials applied for aerospace applications. Strong foundation in polymer science, including structure–property–processing relationships and the behavior of polymeric, composite, and adhesive materials. Adept at solving engineering problems in a production environment and can deal with complex and critical issues independently Hands-on experience with polymer processing, composite manufacturing, adhesive formulation, and bonding technologies, including film adhesives, paste adhesives, co-curing, and co-bonding. Solid understanding of polymer–solvent and polymer–substrate interactions, including diffusion, swelling, plasticization, adhesion, and compatibility.
