This role supports outbound freight planning and execution while driving improvements in cost control, service performance, and operational visibility. This is an entry-level planning position designed for individuals looking to build a career in Supply Chain. The role offers a structured development path with opportunities to grow within transportation and logistics planning.

Plan and coordinate outbound shipments by selecting appropriate transportation modes (Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Flatbed, Small Parcel) to balance cost efficiency and service levels Execute daily shipment scheduling, including load tendering and delivery appointment coordination to ensure on-time delivery performance Provide daily shipment plans to support distribution center labor planning, dock scheduling, and outbound flow Manage carrier communications, including tender acceptance and service follow-up to ensure reliable capacity Monitor shipment performance and provide end-of-day reporting and visibility Identify service gaps and cost-saving opportunities; support continuous improvement initiatives Drive reduction of accessorial costs, including minimizing TONU (Truck Ordered Not Used) charges and shipment cancellations through proactive planning, communication, and execution discipline Analyze root causes of TONUs and cancellations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Support urgent (“hot”) shipments and expedited requests to meet customer requirements Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations, with a solid understanding of shipping processes and workflows 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suites Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Understanding of freight modes and transportation planning concepts Familiarity with DOT regulations and shipping compliance Strong written and verbal communication skills Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities Experience with systems such as TMS, SAP, Power BI, or other transportation/logistics tools Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. Other Compensation This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
