Role
CoolIT Systems, Inc. is hiring a full-time Test and Qualification Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Test and Qualification team, ensuring all product testing and qualification activities meet engineering specifications, product requirements, production schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations. Reporting to the Team Lead CDU (Test and Qualification), this is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled and detail-oriented leader who thrives in a hands-on mechanical and electrical testing environment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the advancement of innovative liquid cooling technologies.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily testing activities for liquid cooling products, including Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), pumps, heat exchangers, and other associated components. Lead, coach, and support a team of test technicians, technologist and engineers to ensure testing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to requirements. Plan and allocate test resources, including manpower, equipment, test stations, fixtures, and materials, to meet timelines and customer delivery requirements. Develop daily and weekly test schedules, prioritize workloads, and adjust resources based on demand and business needs. Ensure all testing is performed according to approved test plans and procedures. Review test results, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation for traceability. Ensuring all measurement tools, sensors, instruments, and test systems are calibrated on schedule and meet required standards. Ensure test equipment, tools, fixtures, and instrumentation are properly maintained, verified, and available for testing needs. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe handling practices for liquid cooling systems. Conduct safety reviews, identify workplace hazards, support risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to improve the safety of testing operations. Train employees on safe operating procedures, equipment use, and emergency response requirements. Troubleshoot test failures, equipment issues, and performance deviations while working with other stakeholders to determine root causes. Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and test efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
WHO YOU ARE
Basic Qualifications: BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or relevant field. 3–5 years of experience in product testing and manufacturing, preferably in liquid cooling, HVAC, thermal management, or electromechanical systems. 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Experience with test equipment such as pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature sensors, DAQ systems, and multimeters. Ability to read engineering drawings, test procedures, and technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management or supervisory training/certification is considered an asset. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ASTM, ISO, and reliability test standards. Ability to work in a dynamic laboratory environment and supervise technicians to meet project schedule and targets. Understanding of liquid cooling systems, including pumps, heat exchangers, cooling distribution units (CDUs), hoses, fittings, and flow control components.
