Job Description

In conjunction with business development officers, the Client Service Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Corporate Trust clients with the primary focus of managing the value of these relationships to the organization. They review and accept new client relationships based on business line account acceptance policies and procedures. They provide quality service based on client needs, wants, and expectations; align actions accordingly; remain sensitive and responsive to both internal and external clients; build distinctive predictable levels of service; resolve problems quickly and effectively. Additionally, the Client Service Manager works closely with new business development staff, serving as a collaborative business partner when supporting new business conversations from existing or prospective clients. They identify business risks and operational challenges and takes steps to mitigate risk and enhance operating systems and processes. They coordinate the development and implementation of operational changes within the unit. They may be responsible for meeting certain revenue, new business and expense goals. They manage staff, hire new staff, and/or train staff to successfully meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities of the Role Review and negotiate legal agreements and contracts Serve as the first review point before involving external attorney networks Manage client relationships from onboarding through ongoing servicing Coordinate account setup, operational implementation, billing setup, receivables collection ​Partner closely with operations and understand downstream processes Manage multiple clients, agreements, and priorities simultaneously Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience Typically five to seven years of relevant experience Preferred Skills/Experience Thorough knowledge of corporate trust products, investment instruments, and related trust line of business operations Working knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, legal regulations, and applicable bank and regulatory requirements Experience interpreting complex legal, contractual, and business requirements with strong attention to detail and accuracy Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts while effectively managing risk and advocating for bank requirements Demonstrated success building client relationships and supporting business development efforts Proven problem-solving skills, including resolution of complex client issues and disputes with minimal guidance Strong client service orientation with the judgment and responsiveness needed to address client concerns in a timely manner Effective interpersonal, listening, verbal, and written communication skills Confidence influencing, challenging, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our  disability accommodations for applicants .
