The Opportunity
This role is responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations within the Cutting Department to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The position supports production performance by overseeing workflow, staffing, quality, and material movement while developing team members and driving continuous improvement. This role plays a key part in maintaining food packaging safety, product quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily shift operations within the Cutting Department to ensure safe, efficient, and productive performance. Manage staffing, break schedules, and team support activities to maintain workflow and meet production objectives. Monitor production requirements and collaborate with management and scheduling to achieve performance goals. Support quality, inventory, and production processes through inspections, documentation, material coordination, and operator assistance. Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing standard operating procedures and best practices. Promote and maintain a culture of safety, food packaging quality, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement. Support 5S initiatives and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, understand, and apply information from instruction manuals, procedure manuals, and work instructions. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
