General operation of Rod Mill. Responsibilities

Demonstrated commitment to safety through actions and behaviors Understanding of Molten Metal Pre op Setup ( Prep & Clean Launders, Inspect & Clean Pump well ) Operation of Transfer pump Regulate Metal Flow Proper knowledge of Skimming Knowledge and use of Overhead Cranes Responsible for setting Pour off Pot & Putting under Preheat after Run is Complete Assist with Bar Handling & Casting Operations Light maintenance duties Assist in break down operations Prep Coils for Delivery Other duties as assigned

Must receive passing score on required testing Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Possess a self-starter quality for seeking input and details from resources Solid mechanical aptitude and a desire to problem solve Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Must have good math skills, as well as oral and written communication skills Must be able to lift 60 pounds Possess a willingness to work in cold/hot outside conditions as well as hot inside conditions
