Job Description

As a Principal Product Manager within the Routing Infrastructure Solutions (RAS) team, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and operational roadmap for the ACX product portfolio . You will act as a recognized internal authority, applying innovative principles to solve complex problems in the Service Provider, Enterprise, and Cloud network space. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical hardware expertise, business acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional engineering and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive product requirements for use cases across Access & Aggregation, Edge Services, Core, Peering, and DCE/DCI. Define requirements for next-generation routing platforms and optical transceivers. Stay ahead of industry roadmaps to drive disruptive WAN solutions, including the deployment of AI training and inference networks. Build value propositions, target customer segments, and business cases. Synthesize Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) based on intimate customer knowledge and industry acumen. Partner with Engineering on feasibility, planning, and delivery. Enable field teams with roadmap updates and translate customer feedback into actionable product "Asks." Manage the product configuration mix, margins, and Go-To-Market strategies to optimize revenue and market share throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or Advanced Engineering degree preferred). Typically, 10+ years of related work experience, specifically managing a hardware portfolio and high-complexity New Product Introductions (NPI). Deep expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, LDP, and PCEP. Strong knowledge of transport technologies including MPLS, RSVP-TE, SR-MPLS, and SRv6. Experience with L2/L3 services including Ethernet, VXLAN, MAC, Bridge domain, L2VPN, and L3VPN. Familiarity with management and security technologies such as Netconf, gRPC, Open Config, Streaming Telemetry, SNMP, RPKI, IPSEC, and MACSEC. Understanding of L2/L3 underlay and overlay architectures. Extensive experience in cost-efficient solution building and financial performance analysis. Knowledge and Skills: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff on product-specific technical training. Strong root cause analysis and problem-detection skills within ambiguous, high-stakes projects. Deep knowledge of Service Provider, Enterprise, and Cloud networking technologies and industry trends. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across engineering, field, and business teams.
