Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Engineer to join our team in George Town, Malaysia. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in HDD-Media-Head performance characterization. You would guide Media Mfg. Engineering team to optimize process to deliver best Media performance at HDD. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product specifications and requirements (PM, Development and Process Engineering teams) Optimize existing products for improved yield performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability Support Media performance optimization from development to high volume production Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturing processes Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations Drive digitalization initiatives in manufacturing Implementing data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics. Utilize AI/ML models for predictive analysis of yield, reliability, and performance trends.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills Strong communication and teamwork skills PREFERRED: Familiarity with industry-specific knowledge (HDD or Media process related experience would be added advantage) Update to date on Industry 4.0 technologies, automation, and smart factory trends.
