Wellness Coordinators function in a non-clinical capacity responsible for providing care coordination or administrative support to providers with behavioral health and substance abuse needs. Wellness Coordinators will also provide administrative support to the Behavioral Health Case Management department through assigning referrals, providing chart summaries and verification of member demographics. Schedule : Monday through Friday a 40-hour work week between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Eastern Standard Time Location : Remote nationwide must be willing to work in EST hours You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
Wellness Coordinators work in an inbound provider call queue Data collection from providers; input into multiple electronic documentation systems Coordinate information to clinical team partners Provide behavioral health benefit education Provide network referrals to help the member engage with mental health and substance use treatment Performs other duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED 2+ years of managed care or call center experience 1+ years of computer proficiency experience to include adobe and Microsoft office 1+ years of experience in handling sensitive issues with providers in a confidential manner Ability to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI) Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet Preferred Qualifications: Casework experience at hospitals, social service agencies or community mental health centers Medical/Behavioral setting experience (i.e. hospital, managed care organization, or joint medical/behavioral outpatient practice) Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse Experience working in an environment that requires coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients Working knowledge of community-based resources and services Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to use community and network resources to meet members' needs Demonstrates initiative in achieving individual, team, and
