Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 2 or 3 located in Boulder, CO. What you’ll get to do? As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will contribute to the development, integration, and verification of RF-based ground systems supporting a variety of space missions. You will participate in system definition, requirements development, architecture decomposition, and verification activities throughout the system lifecycle, from early concept development through integration and test. In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate mission and customer needs into system requirements and technical solutions. You will help define system architecture and interfaces across hardware, software, and infrastructure components, with particular focus on RF systems including antennas, RF front-end equipment, and ground communications infrastructure. *Please be aware that this position is contingent upon capturing program award(s) and obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Furthermore, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance at the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future* This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled as either a Level 2 or Level 3. Basic Qualifications for a Level 2: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience; 0 years with a Master's Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes Ability to quickly learn new concepts and approaches Experience in the design, development, and integration of ground system software, networking, and/or RF antenna programs. Familiarity with RF communications systems, ground systems, or antenna-based architectures. Active Secret clearance required at time of application Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master's; 1 year with a PhD Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes Ability to quickly learn new concepts and approaches Experience in the design, development, and integration of ground system software, networking, and/or RF antenna programs. Familiarity with RF communications systems, ground systems, or antenna-based architectures. Active Secret clearance required at time of application Preferred Qualifications : Experience with satellite communications, ground segment systems, or RF communications infrastructure.
