MAINTENANCE CLASS A Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment Primary Duties Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products Teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures Troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use Use all aspects of the maintenance work order program Plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations Troubleshoot and repair motor circuits, which includes simple electrical control circuits. Test electric motors for opens and shorts Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as necessary Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping Follow up all work in order to insure repairs and work are performed properly Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas Regular and timely attendance required Follow LOTO procedures for machines/equipment Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies. Additional duties may be assigned by management Job Qualifications Three years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience, including but not limited to: diagnosing and troubleshooting; preventative maintenance; lockout/tagout procedures Successfully demonstrate all Class B qualifications Must have high school diploma or GED Must have good working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques, work order systems, equipment lubrication standards and industrial safety standards Highly motivated and able to work independently Provide own tools to perform maintenance tasks
