General Mills' Supply Chain is one of the most respected supply chains in the industry today. Manufacturing is the sub-function of Global Supply Chain that makes food the world loves. Manufacturing takes raw materials and transforms them into the products we sell to customers. Products are packaged in a variety of formats for sale to grocery, clubs, and food service. WHAT WILL I DO? As a Manufacturing and Engineering Associate (MEA) Intern, you will experience a robust 10-week internship with hopes that you’ll roll into our full-time MEA development program upon graduation. The internship is designed to prepare you for both technical and managerial leadership roles within General Mills . During your internship you will: Build your capability through exposure and ownership of processing, packaging and broad manufacturing systems. Gain f ront line exposure to 24/7 production to leverage problem solving and learning agility while driving improvements and eliminating losses. Learn from and l ead Operators, Technicians and Mechanics to grow your coaching, team building and people-development skills set. Manag e programs to gain experience in capital project ownership, new system startups and / or initiative leadership. WHERE WILL I WORK? You will be placed at one of our manufacturing plant locations nationwide. IS THIS YOU?
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering degree in: Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Food Process or Biological/Biosystems/Agricultural, or related degree Qualifications for MEA Milling roles: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Milling Science, Food Science, or related degree Graduating in Winter 202 7 or Spring 202 8 Preferred Qualifications: Strong academic record Strong interpersonal skills, high learning agility, analytical and decision-making skills Demonstrated people, technical, and process leadership skills, with a proactive approach to taking initiative and contributing to team success HUNGRY FOR WHAT’S NEXT? Internship is 10-weeks in Summer 202 7 Relocation assistance (if eligible) The hourly rate for this position is $28.85 /hour.
