Lincoln Electric – Harris Products Group is seeking a Process Engineer II to help establish and grow the U.S. operations of Alloy Steel International (ASI), an innovative Australian manufacturer recently acquired by Lincoln Electric.   This is a unique opportunity to join a startup-style business backed by the resources and stability of a global manufacturing leader. The successful candidate will lead engineering efforts for the U.S. operation, driving process development, equipment optimization, capital projects, quality improvements, and operational excellence.    This individual will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to build scalable manufacturing processes, improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and support the successful launch and growth of the business. Key Responsibilities

Support engineering activities affiliated with the startup and expansion of ASI's U.S. operations. Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Create project plans, cost estimates, timelines, and technical documentation while managing project budgets and resources. Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and cost reduction. Monitor and improve key performance metrics including scrap, rework, OEE, conversion costs, and production throughput. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to develop robust manufacturing standards and procedures. Partner with production teams to ensure procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements are established and followed. Assist with capital equipment, automation, tooling, and process improvement projects from concept through implementation. Support new product introductions, process validation, and customer development projects. Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, DOE, FMEA, SPC, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshooting efforts. Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO requirements, Arc Flash requirements, and all applicable manufacturing procedures. Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to production and support teams. Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
