Multi Skilled Equipment Operator

JOB DUTIES: Operate water truck, dozer, compactor, scraper, and loader safely and efficiently. Fills tank of Water Truck with water at beginning of and throughout shift as necessary. Drives Water Truck in a skillful, safe and efficient manner inside the landfill while operating sprayers to achieve and maintain appropriate yard surface moisture for dust control and soil compaction activities. Operates heavy equipment in safe and productive manor under direction of Lead operator and Landfill Manager. Performs pre-trip and post trip vehicle and or heavy equipment safety inspections and reports vehicle condition to supervisor. Fuels vehicle as needed and cleans vehicle at end of shift. Will lubricate or perform minor repairs to vehicle. Inspects and spots incoming loads. Responsible for maintaining good house keeping at and around site and conduct activities to assure policies and procedures of the Landfill Operations Manual are maintained. May perform Landfill Clerk duties as needed. Will also assist in and coordinate all landfill activities. Other duties as assigned.
