Bodily Injury Adjuster (Extended Handler)

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Mentors junior employees. We are seeking an experienced Extended Handler Bodily Injury Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will manage attorney-represented bodily injury claims ranging in severity from soft tissue injuries to fatalities across Northeastern state venues. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience reviewing coverage, determining liability, conducting comprehensive damage investigations, and evaluating claim exposure to support fair and timely resolutions. We are open to qualified candidates located in Eastern Time Zone states. Key Responsibilities • Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle for complex cases • Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department • Handles investigation regarding all aspects of complex auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority • For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate moderate to complex injury claims • Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage • Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills Supervisory Responsibilities • This job does not have supervisory duties. #LI-KR1 Skills Auto Insurance Claims, Automobile Accidents, Bodily Injury Claims, Case Management, Claims Administration, Claims Resolution, Claims Review, Coverage Analysis, Customer Service, Injury Assessment, Insurance Coverage Analysis, Insurance Policies, Liability Insurance, Liability Investigations, Multitasking, Negotiation, Personal Injury Claims, Relationship Management, Soft Tissue Injuries, Task Management, Time Management, Time Prioritization Compensation Base compensation offered for this role is: BI Adjuster Cons I: $50,000 - $86,400 BI Adjuster Cons II: $56,000 - $93,250 BI Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 -$117,700 Annually and is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
