Major Duties and Responsibilities may include the following: Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers Adherence to Operational Process Standards Daily tracking of shipments and corresponding documents Work with the team to provide solutions to customers Comply with customer requirements and procedures Proactively communicate timely status updates to customers Communicate with international and domestic customers and offices Update shipment information in the Expeditors system Track and trace international cargo Timely settlement of shipments and filing of Tariffs Preparation of reports, as required Prepare and process international documentation Comply with US and foreign regulations Interns will learn: About the logistics industry, Expeditors and our culture About our systems About professional, pro-active, high expectation customer service Qualifications Effective verbal and written communications skills Strong organizational and prioritizing skills Experience with Microsoft Office Applications Displayed ability to work independently Excellent attendance practices Attention to detail, curiosity, professionalism, integrity, sense of humor Global geographic knowledge and multi-lingual abilities are always desired Additional Information Expeditors offers excellent benefits to long-term, full time employees: Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick Time Health Plan: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision Life and Long Term Disability Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (US only) Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Personnel Development Program This opportunity does not sponsor work visas and has no relocation assistance.
