Job Summary

The Credit Portfolio Officer, Risk Credit Mortgage Policy (Change Management), will be responsible for supporting the development, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of local servicing policies within the Risk Credit Mortgage department. A key focus of this role will be on the change management process and the oversight of policy modifications. The successful candidate will ensure that policy changes are effectively managed, clearly communicated, and aligned with the bank's overall risk appetite, strategic objectives, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Change Management & Oversight: Coordinate and support the entire lifecycle of policy changes for local servicing policies within Risk Credit Mortgage. This includes tracking changes, ensuring proper approvals, and overseeing the implementation process to ensure smooth transitions. Lead Change Management Initiatives: Champion and lead change initiatives from their initial conceptualization through to successful implementation and production, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Actively participate in and oversee pre and post User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production testing principles to validate new policies and workflows. Identify potential impacts of change on processes, systems, and people, developing strategies to mitigate risks and foster adoption. Ensure Operational Organization & Reporting: Maintain exceptionally organized documentation, project artifacts, and communication records. Provide regular, clear, and concise tracking updates on all ongoing initiatives to relevant stakeholders. Generate accurate and insightful reports on the progress, status, and outcomes of change management and project initiatives, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement. Policy Development Support: Assist in the research, analysis, and drafting of new local servicing policies and amendments, ensuring alignment with global credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices. Policy Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews and analytical assessments of existing policies and proposed changes to identify impacts, risks, and areas for improvement, simplification, or consolidation. Regulatory Impact Analysis: Monitor and analyze changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., Dodd-Frank, TILA, RESPA, CFPB guidelines, GSE requirements) that affect mortgage servicing and credit risk. Translate these regulatory updates into actionable policy language and change requirements. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Credit Risk Management, Servicing Operations, Legal, Compliance, Product Development, and Technology, to facilitate communication regarding policy changes, gather input, ensure alignment, and support implementation efforts. Documentation and Communication: Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured policy documents, change logs, and communication materials. Effectively communicate policy updates, their rationale, and implications to relevant stakeholders through presentations and written reports. Issue Resolution Support: Provide analytical and interpretative support for policy-related inquiries, assisting business units in understanding and resolving complex issues arising from policy changes or interpretations. Audit and Exam Support: Assist in preparing and providing necessary documentation and explanations related to performing servicing policies and their change history for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.

Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in credit risk management, policy administration, change management, or mortgage servicing within a financial institution. Proven ability to interpret and apply credit policies, with an understanding of mortgage products. Familiarity with U.S. mortgage market
