Managing Director- Services Head Turkiye and Hub Managed Countries

Job Purpose: Citi Services is a leading provider of cash management trade services and custody products to Financial Institutions, Public Sector, Corporate and Commercial Clients around the world. With a global network spanning over 100 countries, the business is uniquely qualified to service clients with local and cross-border interests and provide integrated reporting and management. This role also entails supervision over several non-present markets that are managed by our Turkish franchise called the Hub Managed Countries. All activities below should be read in context of all the markets including the Hub Managed Countries. Job Background/Context: This role is integral to client engagement, product management & innovation, sales and new business development, improving client experience, strategy & financial planning, risk & control management, external and regulatory engagement, governance & franchise alignment and people and talent management. The Services Head role is critical to deliver and execute on the Turkiye franchise as well as the MEA Services strategy. The person holding the Services Head role will be a member of the Services TIK subcluster leadership team and its direct report will be to the TIK subcluster Services Head. The role is also that of a trusted partner within the local management team and supports the Chief Country Officer & Banking Head (CCO BH) of Turkey. Assuming roles & responsibilities as being Senior Manager as per Turkey Policy of Assistant General Manager responsible for Services which is subject to regulatory approvals and regulated by Turkish Banking Law and adjacent regulations. The role is based in Istanbul.

The Services Head for Citi Turkiye is responsible for the ultimate direction and delivery of Services solutions, ensuring that all aspects of the business activities generate optimal returns, customer’s satisfaction and management of the Services team. All that should be managed with the highest standards of risk management and governance. The Services Head needs to work closely with all the partners (both internal and external) to make sure that key technology projects are properly identified, linked to clients’ needs. Proper business cases must be prepared and prioritized internally and must obtain cluster / global buy in and support. Moreover, the Services Head needs to ensure smooth partnership with other management team members, especially Banking and Markets to develop a balanced countrywide strategy.

Strategic Leadership and Direction: Develop and implement short and long-term strategy for Services business in Turkiye to achieve financial growth targets and business returns, ensuring expansion of market and client wallet share and a broadening of the client solutions in line with services global strategy, strategy and cluster objectives The Services Head needs to be able to operate in a complex matrix environment and to make sure that all the stakeholders (many times with conflicting priorities) are properly communicated and ultimately aligned on Services TIK/MEA priorities in line with local regulatory requirements. External environment requirements include crisis management, dealing with change of the risk profile of the entity, critical changes in the macro-economic environment The Services Head needs to generate active client interactions and serve as the client engagement head of the business for this market. It is one of the most senior Business leaders in Citi Turkiye. The person is responsible for the services business growth for all the Services business lines.
