What You'll Do
Train in all areas of the Melt Shop to include Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Casting Machine, and Refractories
Read, interpret, and utilize manuals, drawings, and schematics
Operate mobile equipment such as Forklifts, overhead cranes, etc
Interpret all operational procedures and parameters including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions
Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift
Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively support the CMC Safety Culture
Work safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPE
Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures
All other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Minimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferred
Must be able to work a 12 hour shift, which includes overtime, weekends and holidays
Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for duration of a shift, up to 12 hours; frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs or reaching to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and multitask required
Strong communication skills are required. Must read, speak, and understand English language in verbal and written communication
Your Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
